Sermon Notes - Luke 13:10-21 - Some Opposed and Some Applauded

Introduction:  There is continuous opposition to the Kingdom.  We should not be surprised each time it occurs.  With the opposition also comes ready acceptance and growth.

  1. Woman gives glory to God 10

  1. Bad situation 10-11

  1. Jesus is teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath 10

  2. There was a woman there who was crippled for 18 years 11

  3. She could not stand upright, but was bent over 11

  1. Jesus intervenes 12-13

  1. Jesus sees the woman 12

  1. Jesus calls the woman 12

  • You are now loosed from your crippling disease 12

  3. Be loosed from her bondage on the Sabbath Day? 16

  1. All the people rejoiced 17

  1. After these words. all the opposition was ashamed 17

  1. For all the glorious things 17

  2. that were done by Jesus 17
